Iron Fey Series No Spoiler Review
This is a little bit different from my usual book reviews. Instead of reviewing a single book, I've decided to review the entire Iron Fey series which is written by the lovely Julie Kagawa. This is a SPOILER FREE review so do not worry if you're planning to read it, no spoilers here.

My thoughts.
The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa is a unique and well written series. I read the series a while back and have re-read it recently because I really loved it the first time around I had read it. The series focuses on Meghan, Ash, Puck, Ethan, Kierran and Kenzie as some of the main characters. We also have side characters such as the kings and queens of Nevernever, Grimalkin and certain Iron fey the characters are friends with.
The plot of the book is very unique and I know I always say that but I promise you I'm not just saying this. The story is a modern and ancient mix with the original Summer and Winter fey being the ancient part of Nevernever, born out of fables and human dreams while the Iron fey are the more modern part of Nevernever being born out of the human technological dreams. I liked how Julie Kagawa mixed these two together to create a wholly unique world for the characters to be a part of. The storyline is unpredictable, thrilling and suspenseful.
The characters are nice, but not much more than that. I found them to be a little flat and not very layered. I was a little disappointed because I have read The Immortal Rules, also by Julie Kagawa and the characters in that are absolutely amazing. However there are certian traits I liked in the characters such as Meghan's bravery and Puck's humour and ability to make light of a situation. I found the characters in the spin off, Call Of The Forgotten to be more loveable. I loved Ethan's courage and loyalty to his loved ones and Kenzie's enthusiasm and bright nature.
The Iron Fey series was an absolute rollercoster ride for me. I finished the entire series within a week and a half and after I finished, it felt as if my life was missing something. Despite the characters at times being slightly disappointing, the story is captivating, unique and worth reading if you love fantasy books.
