Welcome to another Christmas themed post! Today I'm going to show you how to make these delicious Christmas tree themed cupcakes. They're perfect for parties and cute gifting ideas. Plus they're easy to make and even easier on the eyes! Let's get started!
Tis' the season! I'm super excited which is why I decided to whip up this batch of Christmas themed sugar cookies! These are super crunchy, sweet but not overly sweet and 100% festive! These are perfect for people coming over, giving as a present or eating in front of the TV while watching Christmas movies (like I did! No shame!) Also, it helps that they're super easy to make which works well because the Christmas time is always super hectic!
Without further ado, let's get started!
Everyone - let's take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is dark chocolate brownies with cookies n cream ice cream on top. Ok, moment taken!
But for reals though, I cannot get over how absolutely delicious the brownies look! With a soft, moist and fudgy center and crisp outside, they are an absolute party in the mouth. I'm literally getting hungry writing this right now! Not only are these easy and fuss free, they taste heavenly and will be a real winner when served with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream.
And since we're all lazy (especially me!) and are always super busy, I found the easiest recipe to share today so these bad boys will be a breeze to make.
Let's get started, shall we?
After making the delicious and healthy blueberry pancakes a few months ago, I decided it was time to share another pancake recipe and this time, it's the strawberry breakfast pancakes!
These are light, fluffy and cook really, really fast, which means they're perfect for the rushed mornings! They also taste amazing and are a pretty great way to start the day cause they're filling and healthy! And since the weekend is right around the corner, they'll be a delicious way to indulge before the week starts again!
You know those old blog posts you wrote a millennia ago that are currently buried in your archives as new content comes in? The one's you spent all that time writing and editing and photographing and publishing? The stuff you were so proud of but have forgotten all about now? Well it's time to dig through those archives and give those old blog posts a facelift!
1 | SHARE THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIAEven if you have already shared your blog post once when you originally published it (which you should be doing if you aren't!) who says you can't share it again? Leave a little bit of time in between the post before re-sharing. Tweet about it on Twitter (make sure to include an image because they are always a lot more popular than plain text), share the link on Google Plus, post an Instagram picture and repin it on Pinterest.
2 | MAKE THE CONTENT LONGERThis is something I hear about all the time on the Internet! Longer blog posts are more appreciated when readers look through. People want more quantity and very good quality. They want points, examples, images that help them understand the point and even more explanation. Having longer blog posts also keeps visitors around on your site for longer. Look through some of your old blog posts and add to it before resharing on social media.
I've always been the kind of person who has wanted to help others and I'm sure you guys are the same! Wether this be with giving them a smile when they need it, giving up time to help or donating money for various causes, helping out and doing even the smallest of things makes me feel good.
Recently, I volunteered at the Cancer Council Victoria Daffodil Day fund at a shift to sell products to raise money for cancer research and prevention campaigns which I think is an amazing cause and something worth caring and donating to.
It got me thinking however, what are some ways to help others if we're low on the cash and cannot donate. After a lot of brain racking and scribbling, I came up with 5 easy ways to make a difference with $0 spent. These are activities that do not require any money but are no doubt helpful to the people and organisation being supported. And although I did write a post a while back about little ways to make a difference, this is an adaptation from that.
I have always been a big fan of the good ol' cheesecake! I had been looking for the perfect recipe that was easy to make and wasn't too fatty and after searching and searching and searching, I finally found it! The mini baked cheesecake is light easy and tastes delicious. It also makes a great dessert to be served to family or friends (or you can eat it all yourself like I did!).
Writing killer blog posts can often be a challenging aspect of blogging. It can be quite disheartening when you spend time and effort writing a post only to find that it barely got any views/comments. I know it was something that happened to me a lot during my third or fourth month of blogging and after a lot of research and thought, I finally understood why, which is why I decided to share with you some of my ways to write better blog posts that promote blog growth.
Now I don't know about you but I love cookies! I love all types, flavours and variations. However, I have noticed that often cookies can be quite sugary, buttery and all round fatty, which can sometimes take the fun out of eating (and enjoying) them.
Butttttt..... I have a solution! The delicious, easy, healthy and super quick M & M Oat Cookies! Wow that was a mouthful. These are generally better than full blown chocolate cookies because they have oats, which I feel makes these a lot better for you and more filling.
Who doesn't love milkshakes? (I hope no one just raised their hand!)
They're fun, sweet and creamy. Here are my top 10 milkshakes you're gonna wanna make this weekend. PS...you're welcome!
The expectation of being blogger and the reality of it are completely different from one another. I think all bloggers know that. There are always things going on behind the scenes that are not as glamorous or fun such as planning, shooting, editing, promoting, research, all of which are as dreary as they sound.
Before I started blogging, I always had this idealistic image of what blogging was about, what it included and how it worked. I was in for a shock! After I started blogging seriously 2-3 months in, I realised how completely off I was.
And today, for those out there who may have not started blogging yet, or may be relatively new to the whole thing (or the experienced bloggers who will totally relate to what I'm about to say!), these are some awesome *cough* horrible *cough* truths you'll wanna know!
Starting a blog and putting yourself out there on a platform can be extremely nerve wrecking. Not only is it scary to think about people seeing what you've creating and not liking it, it can be a step in a new direction you have absolutely no experience with.
It's all good though because I'm going to show you a few steps you can take to start an awesome, profitable and fun blog. These are all the things I've learnt over the months and trust me, back then, I wish I had someone to tell me all that I'm going to be telling you today.
Keep reading to find out 5 easy ways to make your blog awesome! These are things you can do without having to put in too much effort or spending a single cent!
Now I don't know about you but I love me some chocolate chip cookies. And when I found the recipe for the mouth watering chocolate chip cookie cream pie, I nearly died and went to heaven (before I tasted it. After I tasted it, I did die and go to heaven!). With a firm, chocolate chip cookie dough base, layers of whipped cream on top and a mini chocolate chip cookie on top, it's the most amazing baked dessert I've had.
The no bake Oreo cookie fudge is probably one of the nicest, sweet treats I've had in a while. The small, bite sized portions it can be cut into and the sweet flavour make it perfect as a pick me up at the end of a long, hard day. The best thing about it is that it only requires three ingredients to make and will probably last you 1-2 weeks. Plus it is no bake meaning you don't have to worry about leaving it in the oven too long and burning it (which has happened to me before. More times than I'd like to admit!)
1 | RECIPESThis is such a basic idea. Share one of your favourite sweet treats, savoury dishes or afternoon snacks with your readers. It's lots of fun to prepare, shoot and then eat at the very end! I love baking on my blog and then sharing the recipes with my readers. They also happen to be some of the most popular posts on my blog.
Examples: Although I have an entire page with recipes, the Healthy Blueberry Pancake, Malteser Cupcake and Oreo Cookie Slice have to be my favourites.
2 | BLOGGING TIPS AND TRICKSMost readers are bloggers themselves, who have sites and posts of their own. Share some of your blogging experience or tips about how you started the blog, or found time to shoot and edit posts, where you got ideas from etc. It'll be a favourite for sure.

There are two types of chocolate chip muffins in this world; the home made ones and the enormous, bakery style ones! Now, although the home-made ones are absolutely yummy, I decided to show you exactly how to get the big and soft bakery style chocolate chip muffins you may see in stores.
These are just as easy to make as home made ones with ingredients that are probably easy to find or already in your pantry! Plus the bakery style chocolate chip muffin is perfect for a breakfast treat, snack and afternoon nibbling. Keep reading to find out how to make it!
The cookies and cream Oreo cupcake has a soft and fluffy base, delicious buttercream frosting with Oreo biscuit pieces and an extra Oreo on top. Not only is it easier than it sounds, it tastes even better than you could imagine! This is, by far, hands down, the best baking item I have ever made! Keep reading to find out how you can recreate this!
Want to find out how to decrease bounce rate, increase page views and create a frenzy about your blog? Follow these tips to increase your blog traffic in no time!
Don't get me wrong, blogging isn't about how many page views, or comments or shares. It isn't. But when you take the time to write and edit a blog post, it's important to share it effectively otherwise it'll just get buried under the newer content that floods the Internet every minute and all your hard work will be going to waste. But if you follow these simple no-fail steps, your blog will be booming in no time!
1. SHARE EVERYWHEREThat rhymed didn't it? Anyway, to the topic at hand, use your social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus etc) to share your brand new blog post. That way, more than one platform will be informed of your new post meaning more readers will flood over to your blog. Try and include a picture on Twitter and Google Plus as pictures also have a habit of drawing people in. (Also, if you don't have social accounts for your blog, I suggest you create them pronto as they are an essential part of driving traffic to posts!)
The Oreo cookie bar is a delicious and fun way to enjoy the classic Oreo cookie. With a soft inside and yummy nuggets of Oreo bits, it's perfect with a glass of milk. This is the perfect snack or after school treat.

Now I am by no means good at all the techy stuff that comes along with having a blog but the one thing I can do, and have been doing for a while now is installing and using fonts. I've been using them to write on images, create typography etc for a while now. I decided to share my knowledge and teach you how to install and use custom (and super cute) fonts.
This tutorial is perfect for custom blog headers and sidebars as well as writing on blog images.
The lemon and poppy seed muffin is a light and refreshing treat, perfect for any season! Enjoy it as a quick breakfast muffin or a delicious afternoon snack. With a soft, fluffy base and delicious lemon glaze, its a delight in the mouth! All it requires are a few simple ingredients and you'll have a masterpiece!
In case you haven't been outside in a while or live in a particularly warm house: winter's approaching. It's okay though because that just means a whole lot more time to bake, or watch TV or read.
I am the kind of person that loves, loves, loves to read. I cannot remember a stage in my life where I did not read. I do know that there are some people out there who don't read (and I can't seem to figure out why) and some people who want to read but just do not have the time to.
With that thought in mind, I came up with a few of my favourite reads (please know that it was very hard for me to choose). These mostly come under the teen fiction category but are extremely compelling and lovely books worth reading.
1. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven - If you have read some of my previous posts, you'll know that I mentioned this in my April favourites and April book of the month.
I am all about the healthy living. When you're healthy, your body feels good. And when your body feels good, so do you. Warm water and lemon is something I recently discovered during my time on the internet and I was eager to try it. Not only is it great as a detox water, it's amazing for the body and has many health benefits.
HOW TO DO IT: Grab a glass and fill it with warm water. Avoid cold or hot water as it is harder for our bodies to digest it. Squeeze in half a lemon (more or less, depending on how you go) and drink it up. It is most beneficial in the morning but can be drunk any time of the day.
The Malteser cupcake is one of my favourite sweet treats. With its soft, moist base, delicious vanilla buttercream frosting and even more Maltesers on top, it is one of the most scrumptious ways to eat maltesers! Other than just being absolutely heavenly in the mouth, they are also very easy to make and no fuss. And I bet most of the ingredients used are already lying around in your kitchen! Anyway, I'm going to stop my rambling so we can get started!
Hey guys! So I don't know about you but I love cookies. I love to make them, I love to eat them, I love the way they make everything better instantly.
With that thought in mind I decided to show you how to make the best cookies ever. And yes, they are called that (well I call them that anyway.) I'll be honest here, I've had my fair share of mishaps in the kitchen with burning or not sifting or butter exploding in the microwave but these cookies are so easy that anyone can make them. Trust me.
They are also super delicious and I'll admit, they aren't the lowest in fat but having one or two a day won't harm anyone. Promise.
Anyway, let's begin shall we.
Continuing on from the previous book of the month post (which you all seemed to love!) I have a brand new book to share with you all! Hope you enjoy and if you have some book recommendations for me or a book you'd like for me to review make sure to leave that in a comment below!
Halo by Frankie Rose
Halo is a Young Adult book I found while scrolling through the iBookstore. I was instantly drawn by the synopsis and decided to download it. I’ll admit, I was a bit sceptical about the book and it was lying in my library for a quite a while before I decided read it.
I have to say though, I regret not having done it earlier.
Mother's Day is just around the corner and I decided to show you lovelies how to make these super cute and easy Ice Cream Cupcakes for your mother! This is perfect if you want something that looks extremely fancy and girly but is actually very easy to create. It also looks amazing decorated on a table and for pictures!
Just continue reading if you want to learn how to make them!
I have decided to start a new series on my blog called ‘Book Of The Month’ where I share one of my favourite books for the month.
For this month, it is going to be All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven which is my favourite book of all time (even though I just read it this month - it just goes to show how much I love it).
One of my favourite things recently has been cookie dough. I love the taste and texture so I decided to make my very own cookie dough truffles using this recipe.
This is honestly so delicious so beware as it may result in a bad tummy ache if eaten all at once!
One of the most exciting things about having a smart phone is wallpapers! Weird, I know but isn’t it nice to see a cute background as you go to unlock your phone?
With that thought in mind, I compiled a bunch of super cute and FREE wallpapers for lovelies!!
I know there has been a lot of debate about e-books and hard copy books. Some people tend to prefer the soft copy and easily transportable e-book while others like the tangible hardcopy which they can carry around and flick through. More than general preferences, many scientists have also researched the effects of both on health and wellbeing.
I happen to be one of those people who enjoy both, e-books and hard copy books. They both have their advantages and disadvantages which is what I will be discussing in this post.
As of late I have been trying to be healthier by changing my diet, workout routine and sleeping schedule. And since I always start my weekends with pancakes (usually from the pre-made mixes which is very unhealthy) I decided to try out a new recipe which are the blueberry greek yoghurt pancakes.
I thought this would be a perfect breakfast idea for the autumn because it is warm, healthy and tastes really delicious and comforting.
Mini Blueberry Greek Yoghurt Pancakes
Makes: 10 mini | Prep time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 5-7 minutes
I am big on taking photos whether this be with my Nikon or with my iPhone, it doesn't really matter which one to me. But I hate when some of my images turn out dull or too bright or generally horrendous. Recently, I discovered some new photo editing apps that have been working wonders for me and I thought it would be a good idea to share them with you guys!
Keep in mind, that there is nothing wrong with editing a photo to make it look brighter or more visually appealing! Most people do it.
