A Court Of Wings And Ruin No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hi friends! I am back with another book review today (it seems all I do these days are book reviews and I’m sorry if you don’t like them as much – I shall try and bring more variety onto the blog!) of most people’s top anticipated release (and mine!) A Court Of Wings And Ruin by Sarah J Maas!

I read A Court Of Thorns And Roses and A Court Of Mist And Fury early last year and absolutely fell in love! Maas had created such a splendid world with such loveable characters and all I wanted to do was to be part of that!

And so naturally, I was very excited at the release of A Court Of Wings And Ruin!

THIS WILL BE SPOILER FREE! However, it can mildly spoil you in terms of feelings I’ve had on particular parts! And if you haven’t read the other books in the trilogy, then this will definitely have spoilers for that!

The Upside Of Unrequited Book Review | sprinkledpages

Aha I’m so excited to be sharing my review for this today! This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2017 and I am happy to say it did not disappoint!

If you didn’t know, Becky Albertalli is the writer of Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda, which was also such a cute and funny book and one that is a favourite of many! After having read that last year, I was quite excited when I heard she was releasing a new book, especially since there was so much hype surrounding it!

Plus I'm going to be showing you how to make these delicious Cadbury Mini Egg inspired book cookies!

The Secret Science Of Magic Book Review | sprinkledpages

When Hardie Grant sent me this book, I was SO SO SO excited, to say the least. Not only was it so beautifully and lovingly packaged, it was by an author whose work I had previously read and loved (Life In Outer Space AKA the cutest book ever – read it if you haven’t already friends!) and it was an #ozya I was very excited for!

For more thoughts, just keep reading!

Strange The Dreamer | sprinkledpages

Hey friends!

I hope you’re all having a lovely Friday!

Today I am here to share with you my review for the gorgeous book that is Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor! I am sure many of you have heard about this book already but if you haven’t, it’s a YA fantasy by the author of the Daughter Of Smoke And Bone trilogy and I believe it is intended to become a series (not sure how many books yet, I don’t think it’s been confirmed) and I am eager for the next one because this one ends on a cliff hanger!

ALSO! I made a cupcake recipe for this book! YES, I  know that it is a moth on the cover and NOT a butterfly but would you really like to eat something titled 'moth cupcakes'? No. So that's why they have been called 'butterfly cupcakes' but let's just imagine them to be 'winged insects cupcakes'. (That doesn't sound much better does it? Oops)

Going into this, there was a lot of hype. Not only is the book itself utterly gorgeous *makes heart eyes at the book* but the premise sounded so mysterious and alluring and I had heard such positive thoughts circulating about it in the book community!

While I wasn’t the hugest fan of the Daughter Of Smoke And Bone series as a whole, I did really enjoy the first book and wanted to give this one a shot too! THIS IS NO SPOILER.

Stick around to read some of my thoughts on the book below!

Wintersong Book Review | sprinkledpages

Drum roll please…today I bring to you, one of the best YA 2017 debuts of all time…Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones!

Going into this, I had heard some fairly positive things from other reviewers and it was on quite a few ‘most anticipated 2017 releases’ lists but I had no idea that I would love this book THIS much!

I’ve decided to change up the format of my reviews for a little more fun and because I think this would be a much better way of reviewing this book!

Fans of Laybrinth (the movie!) and The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi would absolutely love this!

A Quiet Kind Of Thunder No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

I have a very special book to be sharing with you all today and that is A Quiet Kind Of Thunder by the lovely Sara Barnard. I had read Barnard’s other book Beautiful Broken Things last year (review here!) and I really loved it so when I heard she was coming out with a new book – this one being a diverse read – of course I had to read it!

I read this book in about a day and then proceeded to write a super lengthy goodreads review for it (my longest one yet!) just because of how much I loved it!

And before we get started, can we talk about how utterly gorgeous the cover is? The cover designer at Macmillan for Barnard’s books really needs a round of applause because DAMNNNNN! *insert heart eye emoji*

Okay but for real now, let’s begin!

My Lady Jane No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Today I am going to be reviewing the extremely popular and highly acclaimed My Lady Jane!

Just a little context on this book. It is a historical fiction book that is more fiction than historical. It is based on Lady Jane Grey who was the Queen of England for 9 days before it was 'off with her head'. Except the authors decided to change up history a little and give her a happy ending!

Also, can we talk about how beautiful the covers of the hardback and paperback are? Pictured above is the hardback which I borrowed off a friend for a quick photo and the paperback is the one I actually own! They are both super pretty and the designers deserve a real pat on the back.

The Wrath And The Dawn No Spoiler Duology Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am going to be sharing with you a duology review for The Wrath And The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh as well as The Rose And The Dagger! This is spoiler free so you do not have to have read the two books to read this review!

I was intrigued by this book because I’ve heard fantastic things, the cover is phenomenal and the blurb sounded very interesting! I have also been trying to read more diverse books – either by diverse authors or featuring diverse main characters or settings – and this book totally fits the theme!
I personally love books that are set in deserts with Arabian influences because I think the culture is so unique and rich and if written correctly, can create the most compelling story and intricate world and I feel this book did that! (But more about that below!)

The Sun Is Also A Star No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

So today I am going to be writing a review for The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon! *cue screaming*

If you know me, you’ll know HOW MUCH I adore Nicola Yoon after her debut novel Everything Everything which I gave a solid five stars and also wrote a review on!

I was so excited to hear she had a new book coming out and I knew I had to get my hands on it ASAP! The fact that the cover was so flipping gorgeous just made me want to have it some more!
And then I got the eARC of it, I read it and I died because OMG GOOOOOOODDDD! *insert heart eye emoji here*

But enough of my rambling! Let’s just get started!

Kiss Cam No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am doing a mini review for Kiss Cam by Kiara London! This isn’t going to be very long mainly because I don’t have a whole lot to actually say about this book but I still did want to review it!

Okay, firstly, if you didn’t know, Kiss Cam was published on Wattpad, an free online community where readers and writers can share their stories and read other people’s stories! I read Kiss Cam for the first time then and when I heard it was officially getting published, I had to read it!

And also, the cover is so GORGEOUS OMG! Books with pretty outsides just make me so happy because it makes the book so much more appealing!

Girl Online: Going Solo No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am reviewing Girl Online: Going Solo by Zoe Sugg or Zoella!

Now, some background! I am such a huge fan of Zoella! I love her videos, her infectious personality, her cute lil puppy Nala and most of all her books! She has written three so far in the Girl Online series, Girl Online (Book 1), Girl Online: On Tour (Book 2) and finally Girl Online: Going Solo (Book 3).

We aren’t sure yet if this is to be her last book from their series and I do hope there is more!

I love all her books and although I’m mainly talking about her latest release which is Girl Online: Going Solo which came out just last week, there is going to be a little about the other two books in her too!

Also, it's okay if you haven't read the other two books in the series because this DOES NOT contain spoilers for anything in the series, at all! SO EVERYONE CAN READ IT!

Let’s just get started!

Holding Up The Universe No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am posting a review for Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven! Now, if you know me at all, you’ll know what a HUGE Jennifer Niven fan I am!

I just love this lady because of her work with her other novel, All The Bright Places! I have a book review for that, if any of you are interested in reading that too, but ATBP is one of my favourite books so when I heard Jennifer Niven was writing a new book, I knew I HAD to have it!

Also, I’m doing a different style of reviews today! Usually, I write reviews by talking about each aspect of the book such as plot, characters, idea, writing etc but to change things up a little, I’ve decided to instead write it in dot points about what I liked and didn’t like!

Heartless Spoiler Free Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am sharing with you MY VERY FIRST BLOG TOUR! I know, it's crazy! I have never been on a blog tour but Pan Macmillan asked me if I was interested and of course, I said yes, because a) how exciting and b) the book was super exciting!

Heartless is by Marissa Meyer who is the New York Times Bestselling Author of The Lunar Chronicles which is such a popular series here in the book community! And although I am yet to read it, I promise it is very high on my TBR and I am very excited to read it because I have heard nothing but good things!

So this was my very first blog tour and let's just get on with it, shall we?

The Star Touched Queen No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am going to be sharing with you a book review of one of my very recent reads which is The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi!

I had heard lovely things about this book and I really wanted to give it a shot! It sounded like something I would enjoy and the cover is gorgeous (which is always a bonus!). It is a standalone YA novel however, it does have a companion novel coming out in 2017. I know everyone was very excited at it being a standalone because of how rare that is in the YA world as most books are trilogies and series!

It is also a diverse book (as in, it is written by a diverse author or features diverse characters) and I thought that was such an important aspect because I think it’s very important to read diverse books just to spread awareness about different cultures and encourage more diverse books to be written!
But let’s just get started with the review!

Thank you to Read At Midnight for the awesome wallpaper pictured on my phone above!
