Happy first of August friends!
I’m going to be quickly sharing a TBR for another
read-a-thon I’m planning to do in August which is the #ARCAugust read-a-thon
hosted by ReadSleepRepeat! The other read-a-thon I’m planning to do in August
is #TheReadingQuest!
The aim is to read as many ARCs as you possibly can in the
month and I have a fair few, some of which are ARCs and others that are review
copies, but because I’m also doing another readathon and would want to read a
few books I borrowed from the library and such, not sure how many I’ll actually
be able to read but I thought I’d just share them with you all anyway!
(In no particular order!)
{ ARCS }
1. A Semi-Definite
List Of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland. This book is going to be
publishing in September and I’ve been hearing positive things from those who
have ARCs so I am very excited to be reading this hopefully soon! Plus it’s a
#loveozya
2. Take three girls
by Cath Crowley, Simmone Howell and Fiona Wood. I don’t know much about this
book other than it’s another #loveozya and I’m on the blog tour for this so I better
get reading! I have started it and am about three chapters in which isn’t very
much as it is kind of chunky.
3. This Mortal Coil
by Emily Suvada. I know absolutely nothing about this because it was sent
to me unsolicited and I’m not too rushed for it because I still have a while
before the publication but it’d be good if I can read and have reviewed it
before!
{ REVIEW COPIES }
4. Daughter Of The
Burning City by Amanda Foody. I have been hearing some hype about this in
the community and it sounds pretty good + it’s got diversity and is to do with the
circus and magic! I will definitely be trying to read this in August!
5. Nemesis by Brendan
Reichs. I am also not too rushed for this one because it releases in
September (in paperback!) so I have a little while before I have to have my
review up but I do want to read it so I can check one more book off my review
pile!
6. The Girl From
Everywhere duology by Heidi Heilig. This has been on my TBR for way too
long which is very embarrassing but I have worked it onto my #ReadingQuest TBR
too so hopefully it gives me the much needed push I require to get it read!
7. Red Sister by Mark
Lawrence. I had an ARC. But then I bought the finished copy. And I still
haven’t read or reviewed it. I am such goals. (No, not really.) (In all
seriousness though, the book is so intimidating but I need to read it because
it sounds like an Adult version of Nevernight which is so !!!)
8. Still Life With
Tornado by A.S King. I have actually met A.S King when she came down to
Melbourne two months ago and got my book signed and everything but I haven’t
had a chance to read it from where I left off 30 pages 2 months ago but I have
also worked it onto my #ReadingQuest TBR so fingers crossed!
9. Beautiful Mess by
Claire Christien. I got this in the mail a couple of days ago unsolicited
but it looked really really good so why not? It also corresponds with my TBRfor #ReadingQuest so whoop whoop
10. Finding Nevo by
Nevo Zisin. This is an auto-biography which is so so rare for me to read let
me add that on but I’ve heard amazing things, it’s #ownvoices and it’s also by
an Australian author. Basically I’m pumped!
11. Now I Rise by Kiersten White. This is the sequel to And I Darken and I've been wanting to read it for a while but I keep putting it off because I have forgotten what happened in And I Darken even though I read it earlier this year oops!

That’s it friends!
Are you participating
in #ARCAugust? What are you reading? And have you read anything that I talked
about above? Share some thoughts on it!

I just read Finding Nevo and loved it, it's an amazing read I'll be reading take three girls this month as well! Hopefully we both love it
ReplyDeleteOOh I've already started Take Three Girls and although it took a bit to get into, I'm really enjoying it!
DeleteI am doing ARC August unofficially. I didn't sign up. My TBR list will be posted on Thursday. I have not read any of the books you have listed. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFair enough! And excited to see it :)
DeleteNow I Rise is on my #ARCAugust TBR as well! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYAY!
DeleteNemesis was so good. You're really going to enjoy it because it's so fast-paced and a really cool concept in general. Awesome TBR and I love this challenge so so much!
ReplyDeleteAlex @ The Book's Buzz
YAY I am so excited for it! <3 <3
DeleteHappy reading, Anisha! I've just finished The Girl From Everywhere and Daughter of the Burning City, actually. I didn't really connect with the former, but the latter was really fun. I'm also joining #ARCAugust - currently reading Kissing Max Holden!
ReplyDeleteOoh I am very excited for them both! And yes I'm scared The Girl From Everywhere will let me down even though I'm not sure why...
DeleteGood luck during ARC August, I did it once before and it was so much fun! I hope that you enjoy the majority of these lovely books ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
Brittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
Glad you enjoyed xx
DeleteThis is such an incredible TBR, Anisha, and I hope you get to them all + enjoy what you read. I'm hoping to get to both Daughter of the Burning City and Now I RIse this month too, depending on many books I read since I'm on a book-buying ban. 😩 Good luck with the TBR, bb. <3

Thank you Aimal <3 <3
DeleteSo many awesome ARCs to get to! Sounds like your month will be busy busy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the readathons! :)
Stacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
Thank you!
DeleteI think all autobiographies are ownvoices haha. I don't get ARC's, so Ihaven't read any of these. But I really want to finish Jaclyn Moriarty's Ashley/Brookfield series this month, as well as Our Dark Duet and all the other books I have from the library *collapses in exhaustion* Have fun reading, don't get too stressed :)
ReplyDeleteShanti @Virtually Read
YES but #ownvoices are only for diverse and marginalised stories. And haha yeah I get it! Thanks Shanti :)
DeleteBest of luck for the readathon, Anisha! It sounds like such a fun challenge, unfortunately I don't have ARCs to participate with ahah. I will be looking forward to your thoughts, especially on the A Semi-Definite List Of Worst Nightmares, it sounds like such a good book and is already on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and good luck! :)
Thank you Marie! And I think review copies and netgalley arcs and all of those count if you don't have ARCs as such!
DeleteARC August! I was meaning to look into that readathon this year and totally forgot! Whoops. I will just have to plod along as I go - my pile is somewhat out of control at the moment!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you enjoy your reading list - there's a lot of great sounding books there!
Thank you so much Di <3
DeleteI'm not sure if this is still going, but I hope you read some good review books/arcs during this reading challenge! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on some of these!
