Kiss Cam No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am doing a mini review for Kiss Cam by Kiara London! This isn’t going to be very long mainly because I don’t have a whole lot to actually say about this book but I still did want to review it!

Okay, firstly, if you didn’t know, Kiss Cam was published on Wattpad, an free online community where readers and writers can share their stories and read other people’s stories! I read Kiss Cam for the first time then and when I heard it was officially getting published, I had to read it!

And also, the cover is so GORGEOUS OMG! Books with pretty outsides just make me so happy because it makes the book so much more appealing!

Girl Online: Going Solo No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am reviewing Girl Online: Going Solo by Zoe Sugg or Zoella!

Now, some background! I am such a huge fan of Zoella! I love her videos, her infectious personality, her cute lil puppy Nala and most of all her books! She has written three so far in the Girl Online series, Girl Online (Book 1), Girl Online: On Tour (Book 2) and finally Girl Online: Going Solo (Book 3).

We aren’t sure yet if this is to be her last book from their series and I do hope there is more!

I love all her books and although I’m mainly talking about her latest release which is Girl Online: Going Solo which came out just last week, there is going to be a little about the other two books in her too!

Also, it's okay if you haven't read the other two books in the series because this DOES NOT contain spoilers for anything in the series, at all! SO EVERYONE CAN READ IT!

Let’s just get started!

Holding Up The Universe No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am posting a review for Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven! Now, if you know me at all, you’ll know what a HUGE Jennifer Niven fan I am!

I just love this lady because of her work with her other novel, All The Bright Places! I have a book review for that, if any of you are interested in reading that too, but ATBP is one of my favourite books so when I heard Jennifer Niven was writing a new book, I knew I HAD to have it!

Also, I’m doing a different style of reviews today! Usually, I write reviews by talking about each aspect of the book such as plot, characters, idea, writing etc but to change things up a little, I’ve decided to instead write it in dot points about what I liked and didn’t like!

Lone City No Spoiler Series Review | sprinkledpages

Hey my lovelies!

Today I am bringing to you a series review! I was going to do book reviews on all the books but then I realised I had pretty much the same things to say about each of them so I decided to sum it all up in a series review instead!

The series I am reviewing (in case you couldn’t tell by the title, haha!) is The Lone City trilogy by Amy Ewing which consists of three books, The Jewel, The White Rose and The Black Key.

I was really drawn to this series because of how interesting it sounded and how it was the perfect mix between The Selection and The Hunger Games! I love myself a good dystopian and it’s been such a long time since I’ve read one (and enjoyed one!) and I’m glad this series was it for me!

Also, can we talk about how pretty the covers are? I do have to say the US ones are marginally better but I quite like these ones too! *insert heart eye emoji here*

But more in the review below!

Heartless Spoiler Free Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am sharing with you MY VERY FIRST BLOG TOUR! I know, it's crazy! I have never been on a blog tour but Pan Macmillan asked me if I was interested and of course, I said yes, because a) how exciting and b) the book was super exciting!

Heartless is by Marissa Meyer who is the New York Times Bestselling Author of The Lunar Chronicles which is such a popular series here in the book community! And although I am yet to read it, I promise it is very high on my TBR and I am very excited to read it because I have heard nothing but good things!

So this was my very first blog tour and let's just get on with it, shall we?

The Midnight Star | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

I know my wrap up is a little late (okay, quite late!) but that’s because I wasn’t originally going to put it up however, then I changed my mind and decided to because I don’t think I’ll be able to write a wrap up for the end of November (but I talk about more why below!) so I thought I’d try to at least stay in the habit for as long as I can!

My book descriptions have been brief because I want to keep this post short and I have reviews for quite a few of these books already on the blog so you can check that out for more details on what I thought! And for some of them, the review has not yet been uploaded so you may have to check back in a few days for it!

Let’s just get started!

{ READING }

So October was pretty great reading month for me! I read 13 books! I know, it’s quite crazy but I probably won’t be able to do the same in November because of how hectic this month is with exams and all but I’m happy I was able to read that much when I had the time!

There has been a mixed rating of books read this month but more below! I also managed to read a few books from my October TBR but not as many as I would have wanted!

Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard
I thought this was such a fantastic book on female friendships and so simple but touching! It stayed with me long after I put the book down and I still think about it from time to time! It was cute, enjoyable and unexpected!

For more, read my spoiler freebook review!

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I mostly just read this book because I wanted to go see the movie and I hate seeing the movie without having read the book. I did enjoy it but it wasn’t as good as I thought and while I will be continuing with the rest of the series, it is not on the very top of my TBR if you know what I mean!

For more, read my spoiler freebook review!

Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige
Aha, this book. I have never, ever given a book a single star rating out of five until I read this one. I did not like this AT ALL, because of how sucky EVERYTHING was!

I don’t want to get too negative so if you want to know more on why I didn’t like it, read my spoiler free bookreview!

Replica by Lauren Oliver
I thought this was a very unique book because of the story and the concept of the flip stories! It wasn’t as good as Lauren Oliver’s other books but enjoyable nonetheless!

For more, read my spoiler freebook review!

Love And Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
I mostly read this book because I’d seen it all over Instagram and I was pleasantly surprised by it! it wasn’t perfect by any means and some parts were a bit dry but it had a fun, summery vibe and a little bit of mystery. PLUS, it’s set in Italy and HAS ICE CREAM ON THE FRONT! That’s a win for me!

Love And Gelato | sprinkledpages

The Wrath And The Dawn duology by Renee Ahdieh
I was really looking forward to this and I am so happy it didn’t disappoint! It was vibrant, beautiful and is one of my favourite series! The characters and the world were so beautiful and basically transported me into this world!

My book review for this series is going to be up soon so check back in a few days to read more of what  I thought!

Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
I thought this was a great, fast paced and action packed book though I did have a few problems with trying to make sense of everything!

For more, read my spoiler freebook review!

Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I am actually on the blog tour for this so that’s exciting! I thought the story was pretty great because of the baking, the fun setting and the spin on Alice In Wonderland!

My review for this book is going to be live on the 16th of November so make sure to check back then to read more of what I thought!

The Graces by Laure Eve
There were some very mixed reviews about this book but I really enjoyed it! I thought it was something different and a little fun and unexpected!

For more, read my spoiler freebook review!

The Midnight Star by Marie Lu
This was the epic conclusion to the Young Elites trilogy and I thought it was so fantastic! It had me in tears at the very end and left me reeling!

Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven
If you know me at all, you’ll know how much I adore Jennifer Niven so I had to read her new book when it came out! While I thought it was good, it wasn’t as good as All The Bright Places!

My book review for this is coming so check back here soon to see more of what I thought!

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye
Fun fact: I read this book in a day! I thought it was imaginative but fell flat in terms of the plot and characters. It is a very pretty book though!

My book review for this is coming so check back here soon to see more of what I thought!

{ BLOGGING }

My blogging fell a bit flat this month, going from posting every day to posting every 2-3 days but I think that’s also good as it allows time for you guys to catch up on what you’ve missed!

Some of the other posts I published this month that were not book reviews:

  • August + September Huge Book Haul
  • Popular Series I Want To Read
  • October TBR

{ LIFE }

So life in October was good! I had my school holidays at the very start, I was doing lots of reading and I started playing tennis again! (And won a few matches too which is always nice!)

I also went to the Gemina book launch where I met some of the Melbourne bookish crew and since then have been chatting on Twitter with them! It was so nice meeting them and getting Illuminae signed and meeting the authors!

November is going to be a crazy month for me because of upcoming exams and going overseas! On that note, I’m not going to be in Australia the end of November and the entire of December because I’m going overseas! That means lots of packing and not very much blogging! I’m going to leave scheduled posts behind (that will hopefully post otherwise how annoying!) but it means I won’t be able to put much time and effort into my content as before!

However, I am back in January which is during school holidays so I can spend lots of time reading and blogging then!

I'm not even going to bother doing a TBR this month because a) it's practically half way through the month already and b) I'm finding it very hard to predict exactly what I'm going to read so if you want to know what I'm reading at the moment, you can keep up with it on my Goodreads!

How was your October? Reading, blogging and life wise?

The Star Touched Queen No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am going to be sharing with you a book review of one of my very recent reads which is The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi!

I had heard lovely things about this book and I really wanted to give it a shot! It sounded like something I would enjoy and the cover is gorgeous (which is always a bonus!). It is a standalone YA novel however, it does have a companion novel coming out in 2017. I know everyone was very excited at it being a standalone because of how rare that is in the YA world as most books are trilogies and series!

It is also a diverse book (as in, it is written by a diverse author or features diverse characters) and I thought that was such an important aspect because I think it’s very important to read diverse books just to spread awareness about different cultures and encourage more diverse books to be written!
But let’s just get started with the review!

Thank you to Read At Midnight for the awesome wallpaper pictured on my phone above!

The Midnight Star No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am sharing with you a review for The Midnight Star by Marie Lu! This is the third and final book in The Young Elites trilogy and I was so, so excited to read it!

If you know me at all, you’ll know how much I LOVE The Young Elites! It’s such a fantastic series and I have a review for the first book on my blog if you’d like to check it out!

I suggest not reading this review if you have not read the first book, The Young Elites and the second book, The Rose Society because this review may contain spoilers for the other two!

But let’s just get started with the review!

Illuminae No Spoiler Book Review | sprinkledpages

Hey lovelies!

Today I am going to be sharing with you a book review of one of my recent reads which is Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman!

Although, I was hesitant about reading this book because I’m not the hugest fan of sci-fi, I was convinced to by these main four reasons:

1. I had heard such fantastic things and some of the people that I look to for reviews had all given it either four or five stars which meant I knew it was a fantastic read!

2. I wanted to read it before the Gemina book launch in Melbourne because I wanted to be able to go and tell the authors how much I loved the book and get it signed and all that fun stuff! And for those wondering, I did end up finishing it before the launch (on the day of the launch to be exact).

3. I also really wanted to read it because Amie and Jay are both Australian authors and I love reading books from local authors (especially since they live in Melbourne!) and I feel like we should all be reading and fangirling and sharing because #ozya is awesome!

4. Lastly, I wanted to read this book because of the format. It is a book that is written in various types of multimedia such as chats, reports, internet searches, maps, diagrams, radio communications and more! The format was really attractive and new to me which is also what reall interested me in the book!

But anyway, let’s get into the review!
